Girls A Competition

Kate Chloe and Jenna all progressed out of the box stage Chloe then played Alison Pulford (No) in the second round but lost 21-7 Jenna played Samantha Reynolds (No) and lost 21-18 in the Semi final Kate played Alison Pulford (No) and won 21-4 in the final Kate played Joanne White and won 21-16

Girls B Competition

Miriam, Katy and Hanna progressed out of the box stage

In the semi final Miriam beat Katy 21-8 Hannah played S Hall (La) but lost 21-12

In the final Miriam lost 21-17 to S Hall (La) 21-17

Boys A Competition

Mark and Richard progressed out of the box stage. In the Quarterfinal Mark played

P Van Rietvelde (Lo) and won 21-17. Richard played M Campbell (Lo) and won 21-19

In the Semi Mark beat Richard 21-2.

In the final Mark played M Newbury (Ha) but lost 21-17

Boys B Competition

Although there were some very close games non of the Yorkshire players progressed out of the box stage

Girl’s Doubles

Kate with Hayley, Chloe with Jenna and Smith (Cu) with Laura all progressed out of the box stage

In the quarter final Smith(Cu) with Laura played but were beaten by Chloe with Jenna 21-8

In the semi final Chloe with Jenna beat Reynolds (No) and White (St) 21-8

Kate with Hayley beat Hutt (Li) and Pulford (No) 21-13

In the Final Kate with Hayley were beaten by Chloe and Jenna 21-13

Boy’s Doubles

Mark with Danny and Zak with Chris were the only two pairs to progress out of the box stage

In the quarter final Mark / Danny then played Chandarana and Patel (Le) but lost 21-18 and

Chris /Zak played Little and Mellor and lost 21-4

Special thanks from all the competitors to Helen and Brian Ward along with John Ellis for running the event so smoothly

To all the parents for the support in the raffle also thanks for the helpers keeping the shop / café going and last of all thanks to the parents for hosting players etc
